Saucy Project
We had to select a sauce from a list that was given to us, we then had to make a design, brand identity, and 3 labels. Along with the label being applied to a bottle..
With this project, I wanted to push myself to use as much creative freedom as possible. Instead of playing it safe or sticking to traditional packaging styles, I set out to design a hot sauce that would feel bold, energetic, and appealing—especially to a younger audience. My goal was to create a product that would catch the attention of teens and young adults, the kinds of consumers who are drawn to unique, expressive, and visually striking designs.
To achieve this, I focused heavily on vibrant, high-contrast colors that immediately stand out on a shelf. Bright hues often appeal to younger audiences because they feel fun, modern, and full of personality. I also chose to incorporate an animated, almost cartoon-like aesthetic, which adds a playful tone to the brand. This style helps the product feel less serious and more adventurous, matching the boldness people expect from a hot sauce.
Throughout the design process, I experimented with different illustrations, fonts, and layout choices to make sure the final product communicated excitement and flavor. I wanted the bottle to feel like something someone would buy not just for the taste, but because the design itself was cool enough to show off.
